Facade design

April 17, 2012 by millwork interiors

Very lucky, being invited to design the facade and the entrance lobby of a residential building in Macau. The client preferred classical touch that will attract the majority in the market. In this project we learn how considerate is the Macau government. By law, the area of the bedroom must be minimum 9 square meter. Compare to the situation in Hong Kong, people is dying for such generous space. All the tricky skills the developer learnt in years cut down […]

Private residence design

April 17, 2012 by millwork interiors

That’s was the first time a local client went up to me and specified that she wanted “modern baroque” style for the 2500 square feet home in Hong Kong. I was very excited since it was a chance to try something I was not used to. White, grey and light pink are the colour scheme the client and I come up with, but soon we find out not easy to achieve baroque style in nowadays since the craftsmanship is not […]

Possibilities is endless

April 17, 2012 by millwork interiors

My old friend asked me to do her newly bought apartment. Net area 600 square feet, preferred open planning, since only two full windows at the back side of the apartment.  Client came up with an idea to lift up the sleeping bed so the area on ground level was maximized. Very interesting concept! Honestly sleeping is sleeping, no need to have the best location.

April 17, 2012 by millwork interiors

A new client called and asked me to do an interior design proposal of a jewelry shop in Shenzhen. Referred by my schoolmate, so I agreed to do some sketches to show his clients even the contract not yet settled. The jewelry shop was not open to public, was operated like an office, for the buyers to choose the jewelry collection by appointment only. The area was about 5000 square feet and was a long rectangle shape. Therefore, I decided […]

Bollard design

April 17, 2012 by millwork interiors

My task was to design a bollard to be used in one of the biggest hotel in Macau.  And my answer was chess! Chess pieces are the miniature of bollard and have many variations in shapes and materials. Unfortunately we cannot make one in translucent material.
